Recently, I was at a friend’s birthday party, enjoying the night—dancing, catching up, and just being in the moment.
But as often happens when people know what I do, conversations naturally turned deeper.
Between socialising and celebrating, I found myself in several mini coaching sessions—all welcomed, all intentional, and all meaningful.
I spoke with:
✔️ Someone struggling with a loved one’s illness and the emotional toll it was taking.
✔️ A parent navigating their child’s possible neurodivergence, feeling lost about where to start.
✔️ A person juggling multiple major life events—so busy holding space for others that they had no space to process their own emotions.
✔️ Someone dealing with grief, while also supporting others in theirs.
✔️ A man carrying the weight of stress, work, and family pressures, but struggling to open up to anyone about it.
What struck me wasn’t just the depth of these conversations—it was how many people are carrying so much alone.
🔹 Some don’t know who to turn to.
🔹 Others feel that therapy is too big a step, so they do nothing.
🔹 Many just want someone impartial to listen—without judgment, pressure, or unsolicited advice.
I see this in my coaching work all the time: people who know they need support but have no idea where to start.
Because where do you even begin when life feels overwhelming?
And how do you ask for support when you don’t even have the words for what’s wrong?
👉 The truth is, most people don’t need fixing—they just need space to process.
And this is where coaching is evolving. It’s no longer about sitting in a room and “working through your feelings.” It’s about meeting people where they are, in a way that feels right for them.
Because sometimes, the hardest part isn’t talking—it’s knowing where to start.
Curious About Coaching That Feels Right for You?
If you’ve ever felt like coaching isn’t for you because it seems too formal, too structured, or just not your style—let’s rethink it together.
Because support should be accessible, comfortable, and, most importantly, built around what works for you.
